Spent the day in New York!

We finally made it! I have been driving Jerry *crazy* asking him to go to New York with me for the longest time now. One thing or another would come up and we would have to reschedule this trip. I have wanted to go to The American Museum of Natural History and we finally made it today! What an absolutely gorgeous day. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weather day. Sunny, not too hot with a beautiful breeze. We took the train (which is my favorite part about going to New York) And then we decided to 'walk' ALL the way to the museum. On our way, we found a bakery called 'Crumbs Bake Shop', which had pastry to die for!! I had never had a more delicous Black and White cookie then I did at this bakery! And Jerry said his Oatmeal and Raisin cookie was just as good. They had tons of cupcakes in so many different flavors. We didn't get a chance to try those, so we'll definitely have to go back another day 'just' for the bakery alone!! *LoL* The museum is right next to Central Park. (Central Park is a pretty strange and neat place all at the same time) Let me tell you, that was one LONG walk and then we still had the museum to walk (which we didn't think about until we got to the museum) Our backs were so sore by the end of the day. All we could think about was where the next bench would be in the museum so we could sit down! *LoL* When we got out of the museum, we found a really nice restaurant called 'The Ocean Grill'. Our food was amazing and we were given complentary cranberry muffins from the chef!! We walked around a bit after dinner and wandered over to The Lincoln Center for the Arts. There was this really cool water fountain that would shoot water up into the air at incredible heights. The kids around the fountain were having a great time. What a fun trip. Thank you again Jerry for such a nice time (and for the taxi cab ride back to Central Park) Can't wait for our next trip to the city :-)

The building across from Grand Central Station

'Poked' our heads into the Roosevelt Hotel :-D

Some of the amazing buildings we passed along the way

I was amazed at the trees at the top of these tall buildings. They have 'parks' up there!
