Sight Seeing Continues....

Okay, Jerry and I had such a nice time yesterday, we decided to head out to see what sights we could find again today! :D We decided to take a ride to the Mark Twain House in Hartford. We had been here years ago and it was nice to go back and tour it again. This time we got to visit the Museum that wasn't there on our last trip too. So much history in this house. Our tour was fantastic and Jerry and I took the 'Servants Tour', which I have to admit, was a waste of money for what was included in that tour. But all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Mark Twain's House. How exciting to be standing in the room where the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn were penned to life!! Did you know that Mark Twain's real name was Samuel Clemens? And he only went by Mark Twain on his books? Have to take the tour.... ;)

On our way in..
From all Lego's!!
There is another bust like this one that is in the museum, in the house too.
Mark Twain's House and Grounds

The Stable House where the Butler lived with his wife and 7 children!! This building looks a lot bigger here then it did when I peeked in the windows!
There are Mark Twain's quotes all throughout the museum walls
Not sure if I was supposed to take this picture while we were in the museum or not. But this bike was so cool I couldn't resist 'shhhhh' ;)
So glad we came back for a visit again

Now, as if we hadn't eaten out enough yesterday, we were hungry again *LoL*
Jerry and I had been to the restaurant Hot Tomato's once before and decided to visit it again since it was near where we were. Another pretty restaurant with some delicious food :D

Hot Tomato's Ristorante

Their specialty is their Meatball Appetizer
Yum!!!!
And I had Chicken Panini which was soooooo good!! I brought half of it home and Kaela finished it and wanted more!! *LoL*
And Jerry had... actually I'm not sure what this is that Jerry had. I was so busy enjoying my Panini, I didn't pay attention to what he ordered :/ But I do know he said it was delicious :)

There was a huge thunderstorm headed our way so we decided to start heading home. But we took a ride through the parking lot of where our State Capital is. We wouldn't have been able to go in, even if we wanted to because there are no tours during the weekends. So we will have to mark this as "another place to visit"

Capital, just around the corner
And right through here...

Connecticut State Capital

This had been one busy, weekend!! And although we had a fantastic time, I think Jerry and I were 'both' glad it was over!! *LoL*
