Best Birthday Ever (Part 5) Barry Manilow!

Well here we are, the reason we are in New York.

 

To see Barry Manilow On Broadway!!

 

And although this is the reason we are here, I have had so much fun leading up to this. But I am so excited about seeing Barry Manilow and hearing him sing again. It has been a LONG time sense we have seen Barry Manilow in concert. Jerry and I had taken both our Mom's to see him, way back when we first got married. And that is a very long time ago :p
We got to the theater and we had really good seats. The theater was very small and intimate so I don't even think there could be a bad seat in the house. We were handed playbooks and a glow lights as we walked in and we were seated. It felt like we stared at that red curtain for an awful long time :(

 

And then the lights went down, we cracked open our glow lights and Barry Manilow walked out on stage!!!!

The poor man was blinded by all the camera flashes going off!

Half thoseflashes were probably from my camera alone!! *LoL*

I must have taken over 100 pictures! Unfortuntely, I can't share

them all on my blog. But I will share some :D

Boy he still looks good for being 67 years old now.

Jerry liked the smilie on the screen Barry Manilow had behind him :)

And I think he sounded fantastic, still can hit those notes!!!

He sang and danced a bit with his background singers

told stories about when he was growing up and what he went

through trying to make it big in the singing business

And he told jokes too

So much talent! And he still has it after all these years!

I had so much fun!! I sang, I yelled and waved my glow stick like a

crazy woman!! *LoL*

 

Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. So not only

was our day in New York over, but it was time to end my

birthday celebration too :( This really was the

Best Birthday Ever! And now that I have dipped

my toes in the "One Week Birthday Celebration" tradition...

I may have to start a new tradition next year..

"The One Month Birthday Celebration"!!!!
