This is what it looks like from on top of that 'crazy' bridge you have to go over! I stared at the floor of the car, held the camera up and just took random pictures out the window so I could see what it looks like without actually looking out the window *LoL*
I swear if you couldn't see the sides of the bridge in this picture, you would think we were in an airplane it is that high up!!
This little lobster guy is the first thing to greet you when you get off the crazy bridge *LoL*
This is one of my favorite parts of the trip. Getting over the bridge and you come around the corner and you get your first view of Newport. I don't know why, but I get such a nice relaxing feeling when I see this =]
This is one of the many areas where there are shops and restaurants
Some of the things we saw...
Ice sculpures, next to where we booked our sailboat trip
Ice sculpures, next to where we booked our sailboat trip
A ridiculously huge boat!! One of many we saw there
A large chess set that you could play just outside The Grill at 41 Restaurant. As well as seats all around that you could relax in and take in the sights, sounds and smells
Getting ready to board the Adirondack II and set sail for an hour and a half =D
Our Crew, who worked very hard so we could sit back and enjoy ourselves
The American Cup had just had their races the day before. So there were many, many sailboats out in the waters with us
So pretty out on the water, even the seagulls joined us =]
A video out on the water in the sailboat. That house in the middle of Narragansett Bay, sitting on a huge rock is called "Clingstone". It was built in 1905. You can get more information on it here
So many different boats to look at...
Small Floating Town?!?!
The Hammersmith Farm
This farm belonged to The Bouvier's Family. Their daughter Jacqueline, married John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953. And it was here, on their farm, that they had their Wedding Reception with 1,200 guests!!
Fort Adams ~1824~
This fort was designed by Brigadier General Simon Bernard, a Frenchman who served as a military engineer under Napoleon!
Didn't know you were going to get a history lesson today, did you? ;)
The Landing Restaurant and Lobster Bar that we visited after our sailing trip
Thank you Jerry for an amazing day ♥ And Happy 30th Anniversary!! (A day early)♥
