Essex Dinner Train

Had dinner tonight on the Essex Dinner Train with Jerry, Mom C, John, Liz and Joe. What a fun 2 1/2 hours we had! Jerry and I had gone on the Essex Dinner Train about 7 years ago for our anniversary and we had so much fun, we asked Liz and Joe to go with us next time we went. It took us forever to get together and we brought Mom C and John with us as well. It was just as much fun this time as the last time we went. So relaxing and peaceful. We nibbled on crackers, carrots and celery, that came with an amazing dip, as we slowly made our way along the Connecticut River Valley. The scenery was breathtaking. And the sights extremely enjoyable. We ate (Me: Chicken Francais with a Lemon Buerre Blanc. Jerry: Prime Rib Au Jus) Yummy, Yum, Yum!! While watching Gillette Castle, Goodspeed Opera House and the Haddam Swing Bridge pass by our window!! After our meal, you were invited to step out onto the back platform of the train and enjoy the view from there. Coffee and Chocolate Cake rounded out the meal. Just a wonderful experience. The company was very nice and the weather was gorgeous. Hope we don't have to wait as long to do this again!!
