Cathy's GetAway: Met Giada De Laurentiis Today!!

Well Jerry, Ronnie and I seem to be making it a habit of following Food Network Celebrities *LoL* I had gotten a newsletter from Stew Leonard's, saying that Giada De Laurentiis was coming for a booksigning of her new Cookbook. After going there to see Bobby Flay twice, I was going to pass because the line is just soooooooooooooooo long when these chefs go there. I noticed that they were having a contest and if you won, 10 lucky people get to get in the front of the line, to meet Giada De Laurentiis and you get her cookbook for free!! Never in a million years did I think I would win, but I signed up anyway (can't win if you don't try... right?) Well I won one of the lucky 10 spots in the front of the line along with a free cookbook!!
What an exciting day! Giada is so nice and so tiny!!! How can anyone who cooks like her be so tiny?!?! I was disappointed that she had in her contract that she would not 'pose' in pictures with anyone. But you could stand to the side and take pictures of her if you wanted to. So Jerry stood to the side with the camera and let me and Ronnie go meet her. Although I have to say, Ronnie didn't say a single word to her!! =/
I am so glad we got to go =D Let me tell you from experience, the front of the line is way better then the back!! Especially with as many people as there were here this day. It was jam packed!! They said she had brought 1,000 cookbooks with her and the way it was looking, she probably sold out. Thank you again for taking us Jerry ♥
